RASTACHAUN @ THE LAVA LOUNGE

We have a Christmas treat for all you Dundalk Drum n Bass fans.
On Thursday 29th Dec 2011 Rastachaun are celebrating and saying goodbye to the great year that 2011 was with our first gig in the Lava Lounge which after only a few weeks is already the place to be for Quality electronic music in Dundalk.
All the way from Montreal, Quebec Limerick born DnB veteran Code is back in Ireland for Christmas and has agreed to come to Dundalk to treat our ears to some fresh beats due out on his Subtle Audio & Bustle Beats labels in 2012. Code is probably the best Drum n Bass Dj ever to come out of Ireland and if you have never witnessed one of his legendary sets I strongly suggest you check him out while you still can.
Also on the night we have Rastachauns very own Covert warming up for Code with a quality DnB set. Dubstep fans will also be catered for on the night with sets from B.Augustus from the legendary Backroom Bashment nights and Dj Decksta.

If that isn’t enough to get your big Turkey and pudding filled bodies of the couch all drinks on the night will be a recession busting €3.
If you get down before 12 midnight you get in for only €5, this is a night you just cannot afford to miss.

I know its only after the bank holiday, but get yer arse’s down coz you dont wanna miss this. Its free in and there will enough DnB, Dubstep and god knows to keep you right till December.

Well it’s been a while since Vantastival and we enjoyed running the Lockup Stage. We managed to get quite a bit of video footage of most of the Bands & DJ’s over the course of the weekend and so we decided to create a little montage to showcase all the people who helped us by playing on/organising/running the stage.

The LockUp Studio and rehearsal rooms have been facilitating local Dundalk artists with a place to rehearse, create and produce their own music for the last 5 years and at this years Vantastival they will be showcasing the best Louth has to offer in Rock, Punk, Drum&Bass, Dubstep, Electronica etc. on their own stage.
The stage starts on Friday and runs until Sunday night where Dundalk based Drum and Bass outfit Rastachaun have managed to snare International Drum and Bass Legend Paradox (Reinforced, Metalheadz, Good Looking, Hospital) to headline the Sunday night, a rare treat for fans of the genre and indeed the Festival itself.
Also billed for the stage are The Gakk, Podracer & The Tramps; with such a strong lineup of local talent the lockup stage will hold its weight against the bigger stages with ease, one not to be missed
